Christopher Saunders received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University with a minor in art history. The artist received his MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. He is a 2010 Fellow in Painting from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Christopher is a previous recipient of the Graduate Fellowship Award for Drawing from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, VA.
